Key concepts you need to know about the programme
What is OID?
Organisation ID (OID) is a unique identifier assigned by the European Commission to each organisation. It is an 8-digit number starting with 'E' (e.g. E10209427). All organisations wishing to apply for Erasmus+ must have an OID. It can be obtained free of charge via the EU Portal.
What is PIF?
Partner Information Form (PIF) is a standard institution profile form used in Erasmus+ project partnerships. It includes the organisation's profile, experience, legal representative, and contact information. With ErasMatch, you can automatically generate your PIF.
KA1 — Learning Mobility
Individual learning mobility projects. Supports students, teachers, trainers, and youth workers to study or do internships abroad. Applied in school, VET, higher education, adult education, and youth sectors.
KA2 — Cooperation Partnerships
Inter-institutional cooperation projects. Aims to bring together partners from at least 3 different countries to develop innovative practices, curricula, and methodologies. Divided into small-scale (KA210) and large-scale (KA220) partnerships.
KA3 — Policy Support
Projects supporting the development of education and youth policies. European policy experimentation and youth dialogue projects fall under this heading.
ESC — European Solidarity Corps
A programme enabling young people aged 18-30 to gain experience in Europe through volunteering, internships, or community benefit projects. Includes volunteering projects, solidarity projects, and humanitarian aid volunteering.
